The New Center for Breast Health
at Columbia Memorial

The new Center for Breast Health at CMH (scheduled to open in the Fall of 2022) will offer the latest in breast cancer screening and diagnostic breast imaging, breast biopsy, education on breast health, consultation on treatment decisions, and support groups. The Center for Breast Health will offer our community a comprehensive breast health service in the CMH family. Early detection is key to providing the best management for breast disease.

Breast health services will be delivered by a multidisciplinary care team including surgical and radiology experts, nurses, technologists, and a patient navigator. This collaborative care team includes a surgical specialist, board-certified radiologist, patient navigator, certified technologists, and sonographers.

The Center will provide a comfortable, spa-like setting with private rooms that feature confidential examination, dressing and counseling areas, and state-of-the art 3D technology paired with excellent patient care to serve women’s breast health needs. All services are offered in one convenient location in the lower level of the CMH Medical Office Building.

Patient care will be directed by a Patient Navigator for Breast Health who will empower women to be an active partner in their care. She will be there every step along the way to eliminate barriers to timely breast cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care. As a personal patient advocate, she will provide clinical and emotional support tailored to each patient’s needs. A personalized service to our communities.

Columbia Memorial is the only provider of breast cancer screening services in Columbia and Greene Counties, providing approximately 10,000 breast imaging exams annually.
